As I sit in the airport waiting for my flight, I've decided to set up
this blog. This blog will be a combination of my posts from IU, posts
not related to the IU blog, and pictures (with links to see more of
them). It'll be interesting to see how often I update this blog, but
it's my goal to do it as much as possible.
So, a few
thoughts before I post. It's a different feeling from what I expressed
in my IU post (which should be up any day now and I'll post a link).
It's definitely time to leave now. I'm 2 hours away from leaving for
Atlanta and then relatively shortly after, I'll be on my way to Madrid.
I no longer have the questions of are you excited, nervous, etc being
asked. I'm no longer worried about anything other than the airlines
messing up and not getting my luggage off at Madrid. Luckily, I've got
enough in my carry-on to get by, but it's a pain and hassle I don't want
to deal with.
However, it's going to be interesting
next week. I'm getting the opportunity to travel around Spain with my
mother. So, I get the opportunity to be that camera around the neck,
backpack toting tourist that everyone hates for a few days before I try
my attempt to blend in and be a true Sevillano in Seville. It's going
to be great to have the opportunity to see so many things with my
mother, but I'm also more looking forward to the program starting and
dealing with Spanish 24/7.
Hasta luego America
Greg
